MAMS Plant Hire is contracted to the Hinchinbrook Shire Council for the Collection of Domestic Garbage & Recycling for the period 2005 - 2013. In 2005 the Hinchinbrook Shire Council expanded their Domestic Wheelie Bin Service into the Rural Areas in the Hinchinbrook Shire. Every resident was allocated a 240 Litre Wheelie Bin with a red lid for Garbage and a 240 Litre Wheelie Bin with a yellow lid for Recycling. Residents in the Hinchinbrook Shire are provided with a Weekly Garbage Collection

Service and a Fortnightly Recycling Collection Service. The Hinchinbrook Shire Council, MAMS Plant Hire and local residents all play an important role in Wheelie Bin Collection Services.www.hinchinbrook.qld.gov.au

Contractor's Responsibilities

The Wheelie Bins are the property of MAMS Plant Hire for the duration of the Contract when they become the property of the Hinchinbrook Shire Council.

M AMS Plant Hire is responsible for the maintenance of the Wheelie Bins during the Contract Period and are required to replace damaged lids, pins, wheels and whole bins if necessary.

Hinchinbrook Shire Council Repsonsibilities

The Hinchinbrook Shire Council is responsible for determining safe Bin Placement for
Wheelie Bin Collection. Householders should contact the Council if they have any concerns with Placement of their Wheelie Bins

Householders Responsibilities

It is the responsibility of the Householder to place their bins out for service each week by 6.00am the morning of their service day and to retrieve the wheelie bins after they have been serviced unless residents live in the Rural Areas where they have been requested by Council to leave their wheelie bins in a specific Bin Bank or Place. Householders are also responsible for the safe keeping of their wheelie bins.
